Beautiful antique...old carving and old mount...carved helmet shell cameo brooch....white rare left facing profile with taupe background. The carving is exquisite...delicate detail...still crisp. Lovely 14K gold (tested mount)...nice even patina. Looks as though there has been work to the pin in the back....replaced old C-clasp & pin mechanism...and some imperfections to the gold....THIS DOES NOT SHOW ON THE FRONT! and can be worn with pride! measures 2" x 1 3/4".
