A very nice example of the Stanley No. 72. This plane has the patent date and model number on the right side rail and Stanley on the left side. The Stanley Rule and Level logo is on the blade. Everything on the plane functions perfectly. The rosewood is beautiful as well as break and crack free. There are no holes drilled in the side rails as is often found done to these planes. There is no evidence of rust and no pitting on the body nor the blade. The plane has been well kept. This would be a great show piece and is ready to be put back to work if that's you intention
