It is marked "SPIERS AYR" on the brass cap, and with two owner names on the front end. Overall length of the sole, not including the overhang of the rear handle, is about 7-7/16".
The iron is marked "ROBERT SORBY SHEFFIELD ENGLAND" with his kangaroo logo. It is about 2" in width. It is a parallel (not tapered) iron.
The chipbreaker is marked "W P WARD SOLID STEEL WARRANTED" with the Ward & Payne logo.
The sides are pinned, and not screwed. The plane weighs just over 3 pounds 8 ounces on my postal scale.
The rear tote or handle is a replacement, with the neatly made brass side plates. The left side has some chips, which appear to be missing pieces of a wood veneer covering.
